Eligibility: Carpinteria High School Students (12th Grade)
Amount awarded: $500
Criteria: First-generation High School Senior who exemplifies resilience, determination and a commitment to higher education or to further their professional development through a certified / licensure program.
Eligibility: Carpinteria Middle School Students (8th Grade)
Amount awarded:$100
Criteria: First-generation 8th grade student who exemplifies resilience, determination and a commitment to their educational journey.
Eligibility: Carpinteria Middle School Students (8th Grade)
Amount awarded:$100
Criteria: An eighth grade student with special needs who exemplifies resilience, determination, creativity and a commitment to their educational journey.
Eligibility: Canalino and Aliso Elementary School Students (5th Grade)
Amount awarded:$50
Criteria: First-generation 5th grade student who has shown notable improvement in their literacy skills, regardless of their current academic standing.
Each year, recipients are selected in partnership with the Carpinteria Unified School District and the Carpinteria Education Foundation. Award and scholarship recipients are thoughtfully chosen for their character, determination, and ability to embody the spirit and values of the Alarcón Foundation.
